  • We grow our power through joyful celebrations of the culture and people of DC

  • We oppose state violence through strategic organizing and escalation that boldly takes a stance against violence and oppression.

  • We work in solidarity to protect DC Home Rule and the governing of DC’s duly elect mayor and Council

  • We defend our undocumented neighbors from targeting and deportation

  • We defend neighbors with disabilities, including defending their federal funding and rights

  • We defend LGBTQ neighbors, their rights, and their equal protection in DC

  • We protect unions and the ability to unionize in DC

  • We protect our right to abortion and birth control

  • We protect our climate justice and transportation justice policies

  • We defend our educators’ right to Teach the Truth (teach honest history) and engage students in Action Civics.

  • We reject attempts to privatize our schools through school vouchers or by reducing the transparency and accountability of public charter schools

  • We protect against attempts to further police or militarize our schools and communities

  • We are in solidarity with other movements for liberation.

  • We anchor ourselves in the legacy of movement leaders here in DC and around the world who have come before us, led with determination and love, and succeeded against long odds.
