Ward 8: Morning and Afternoon School Support
In March, ICE agents tried to kidnap a DC school nurse on her way to work one morning. Putting school nurses into ICE detention won’t make DC communities safer.
We’re calling on school communities to have morning and afternoon school support teams to support safe arrival and dismissal for all students. Morning shifts are 7:30–8:30am and afternoon shifts are 2:30–4pm.
Sign up for Morning or Afternoon School Support at your school.
This project is led by Free DC’s Youth Working Group, in partnership with the T.R.I.G.G.E.R. Project, Anti-Racist DC, Critical Exposure, and DC Girls Coalition.
Event Team for No Kings: DC Rising
No Kings: DC Rising will bring together thousands of people from across the DC region to make it clear that people across the country reject this president and his agenda of destruction.
As part of the event, Free DC together with allied organizations will host four large tents to share information about how we can use our power as workers, consumers, jurors, taxpayers, and community members in this moment.
Action Tent Leads will be responsible for setting up tents, distributing materials and information during the rally, and packing out at the end of this powerful day. Sign up to work the morning shift (10 AM-1PM) or afternoon shift (1PM-4 PM) at No Kings: DC Rising.
