DC demands a hearing on MPD’s cooperation with federal forces

Trump's agents are making violent, racially motivated, and unconstitutional arrests of our loved ones and neighbors. Too often we see Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers alongside these agents doing nothing to stop them or, in many cases, actively assisting them.

MPD should not be assisting federal agents with their attacks on DC residents. This is a dangerous dynamic that deserves urgent attention from our elected leaders. Specifically, the Committee on the Judiciary and Public Safety is responsible for oversight of MPD and its chair is Councilmember Pinto. We are calling on Councilmember Pinto to hold an urgent hearing on this matter.
