Jeffery Carroll is wrong for DC

In a moment like this one, DC needs police officers to be on the side our communities and our democracy — not an authoritarian president who wants to silence protest and dissent.

Interim Police Chief Jeffery Carroll has a history of kettling progressive protestors while going easy on the Proud Boys, and he has led MPD's cooperation with federal agencies. This is not who DC needs as our next police chief. In 2026 the DC Council will vote to confirm a permanent replacement and it shouldn't be Carroll. Send a letter to tell them to pick a different chief.
