National Guard Out Now

The National Guard are not in DC for our safety. They are a danger to people here and we want them gone. A federal court has ruled that Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to DC is illegal. Analysis shows their presence is doing nothing to reduce violent crime. Instead, Guard members are increasingly detaining people in DC without cause — sometimes violently. And all of it is costing us more than $1.65 million a day, what will eventually amount to billions of dollars.

Now, federal elections are on the horizon. As we witness the regime rolls back voting rights and gerrymander electoral maps nationwide, it’s clear that having National Guard stationed in the nation’s capitol is a threat to our national democracy as well as the people here.
