DC-area unions and allies to march on Thursday and kick off nationwide weekend of Labor Day actions
“Solidarity Season” event will bring together more than 30 organizations and spotlight two companies in DC that are busting unions and profiting off detention
WASHINGTON, DC — The Trump administration has caused DC to have the highest rate of unemployment in the nation. The administration has stripped collective bargaining rights from thousands of union members here, its masked agents are disappearing DC neighbors every day, and its occupying forces are making it more dangerous for everyone to simply go to work.
On Thursday August 28, workers in DC will rise up against the Trump administration, its agenda of destruction, and the corporations that are making it possible.

This is the very first event in May Day Strong, a nationwide series of events that will mobilize millions of people to stop the billionaires who are stealing from working families, destroying our democracy, and building private armies to attack our towns and cities. Just like any bad boss, the way we stop the takeover is with collective action.
