Thousands of people participated in collective non-cooperation on May Day. The message Workers over Billionaires resounded across the country as we refused work, school, and shopping.

Here in DC, activists blocked intersections, marched, rallied, and celebrated our collective power. In the face of this regime’s agenda of destruction and death, we took action to demand ICE out of DC and an end to the DC occupation.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to make the day of action and solidarity possible. We created art, chanted, withheld from shopping, and invited friends along for May Day. We kept our kids home from school for a day. We took off work and took up space to demonstrate that we won’t stand for a regime that threatens our and our neighbors’ futures.

Each of these actions come together to demonstrate our power. This is what it looks like when we do not cooperate.
