Solidarity with Minnesota: Email the CEOs of Target, Hilton, and Enterprise
Since their murder of Renee Nicole Good on January 7, ICE has only intensified their attacks on communities in Minneapolis. Yesterday ICE detained four children, including a 5-year-old preschooler.
In response to these escalations, community leaders in Minneapolis have called for a full-day economic blackout on Friday, January 23, 2026 and are asking for solidarity from people across the country.
First and foremost, do not shop at any corporate chains on Friday January 23. If you need essentials, shop instead at local businesses for a Free DC.
In addition, we need to make it undeniably clear to three companies in particular that if they support ICE, we won’t support them. In solidarity with organizers in Minneapolis, send an email to the CEOs of Target, Hilton Hotels, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car telling them to stop cooperating with ICE.
Email Brian Cornell, CEO of Target
Target is headquartered in Minneapolis and is a business leader in the state. The company came under fire in March 2025 for being one of the first to obey in advance by rolling back its corporate DEI practices. The same week Renee Nicole Good was murdered in Minneapolis, ICE kidnapped two U.S. citizens in the Richfield, MN store and then later filmed a terrorizing propaganda video in the company’s St. Paul store — yet the company has so far remained completely silent.
Email Christopher J. Nassetta, CEO of Hilton Hotels
Hilton Hotels and its subsidiary brands are providing lodging to ICE agents in Minneapolis despite outcry from community members there that they stop. The same week Renee Nicole Good was murdered, Hilton cut ties with one of its Minneapolis operators after the hotel followed community requests and kicked ICE out.
Email Chrissy Taylor, CEO of Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Enterprise Mobility, the parent company of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, has an ongoing contract with ICE and is renting ICE the vehicles they depend on to carry out their raids.
