Resistance Beats is a bucket drum brigade that has been keeping up the energy at protests in the DMV since 2017! We believe that drumming fosters a sense of connection and joy, and banging on a drum is also a great way to release your built-up tension.

On Saturday, March 8 from 11AM-2 PM, join Resistance Beats, Melting Virgo, and Free DC for a Voice Training and Bucket Drum Build at Rhizome DC (6950 Maple St. NW). You’ll learn how to project and protect your voice, how to sing movement songs, you’ll create your own bucket drum and review of best practices when bucket drumming at actions. PLUS you’ll connect with an energetic network of drummers ready to help us all show up LOUD AND PROUD at our next actions!
