The late Congressman John Lewis coined the term “Good Trouble” to refer to the act of coming together to take peaceful, non-violent action to challenge injustice. Right now we are witnessing a Jim-Crow era effort from politicians and their billionaire friends to restrict our freedoms and silence Black and Brown communities to consolidate their power. This year’s Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action will put Congressman Lewis’s legacy into practice with events across the country.
As part of this weekend of action, join Free DC for a Campaign Orientation to learn the basics of our organizing and how to get involved. If you wish to make it a full day of learning, attend Non-Cooperation Theory + Practice in the same space later in the afternoon. Campaign Orientation (this training) is a required pre-requisite for Non-Cooperation.
