Next week, thousands of Black leaders from across the country will come together in DC for Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) week. This year, this event will take place as DC is under hostile military occupation and as voting rights are under active attack nationwide. At the same time, the midterm elections will have pivotal consequences for Black leadership in Congress. Organizers in DC are working to ensure the nation’s capital is protected from attack in the midst of it.
