Since the start of the school year armed National Guard soldiers together with federal law enforcement agents have been patrolling near DC schools, including Wheatley Education Campus in Ward 5, Bruce-Monroe Elementary School in Ward 1, and Bard Early College High School in Ward 8.

The presence of these federal forces endangers students, school families, and staff. Education leaders have made it repeatedly clear their presence is unjustified, unwanted, and harmful.
