How We Elect DC's Next Leadership

In DC, we need local elected leaders who will be on our side in this fight. In the next 42 days, voters will elect Democratic nominees for DC's next Mayor and U.S. Delegate. The June 16 primary will set direction for DC for the rest of Trump's term and potentially much longer. If DC chooses leaders who want to cooperate with this regime, all of our work to protect Home Rule will become much, much harder.

As a Free DC community member, we want you to know what's at stake in this election and what it's going to take to win.

We'll discuss the ways having an outspoken champion for our Mayor and Delegate would benefit DC communities. You'll hear why Free DC has endorsed Janeese Lewis George and Robert White for these seats, and how we expect Ranked Choice Voting to factor in to this election.

You'll also learn about ways to get involved in Free DC's electoral work — including how you can get involved with our Voter Power Team to make sure everyone in our community is an informed participant in this election.
