Intro to Organizing with Rising Organizers

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library 901 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

These are scary times, and no matter what movement you’re working on, community organizing is a skill you will need to win.

On Monday, April 21, join Free DC and Rising Organizers for an introductory-level training about the role community organizing can play in building a robust democracy. We’ll explore the core principles of local organizing, talk about how we build people power, and brainstorm ways to make sure the majority of us have the skills it will take to fight for the future we deserve. We promise you'll have a good time, learn a lot, and get your hands on some hope.

This training is free. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. ASL interpretation and childcare are available upon request. Please let us know of requests for interpretation and/or childcare at least 48 hours prior to the training by emailing info@risingorganizers.org. Register for this training using the form below.
