Join us to visit offices of key Members of Congress ahead of Wednesday’s votes on two anti-DC bills that would return DC to a cash bail system and overturn police reforms like banning chokeholds and requiring body-worn cameras. 

From 12:00 PM–3:30 PM, meet us in Longworth Cafeteria for office assignments, leave behinds, and a brief training. Wear your Free DC or DC statehood shirts and paraphernalia, and comfortable shoes as you may do a lot of walking. Arrive any time between 12:00 PM –3:30 PM for this action (you are not required to stay the entire time).

Press Conference

Join us from 3:30–5:00 PM for a press conference hosted by Rep. James Walkinshaw (D, VA-11) at the House Triangle, co-sponsored by DC's shadow Senator Ankit Jain and Free DC. We will be announcing a national coalition opposing dangerous anti-DC bills. Dress warmly, with any Free DC and pro-DC statehood pins, hats and outerwear.
