DC has been under a hostile military occupation for nearly an entire year, and for 11 days in August we are telling the story of the ways Trump’s occupation has hurt our communities.

August 5: “Justice for DC’s Students and Schools”
Children deserve to go to school in safety, but right now DC has highest rate in the nation of families separated due to immigration enforcement. And nationwide, more than 145,000 children are themselves in immigration detention. Meanwhile, in DC’s majority Black neighborhoods, the alphabet soup of federal police along with National Guard harass and intimidate students coming to and from school. With back-to-school just around the corner, we demand better.
