Walk with Free DC’s Ward 3 Team in the 2025 Palisades 4th of July Parade! Bring your joy, show your love for DC, and defend our sanctuary city status. Let's introduce DC to thousands of Washingtonians and highlight our strength to the assembled DC elected leaders.

Getting There and Parking
If using GPS, use 4700 Whitehaven Parkway NW as the destination. You MUST enter Whitehaven from Foxhall Road. Free DC will be assembling around 10:30 AM, and you can continue to arrive until approximately 11:00 AM when the parade begins. When you arrive, check in with an orange-vested Marshal, and then come down the line to find the Free DC group.

Parade Route
The parade starts at the intersection of Whitehaven Pkwy and MacArthur Blvd at 11:00am sharp. The parade turns right onto MacArthur, continues past Dana Place, then takes a left on Edmunds, a left on Sherier, and ends at the Palisades Rec Center.

Post-Parade Festivities
The 4th of July picnic starts at 12:00 PM, immediately following the parade, and is FREE to all! The PCA sponsors the picnic and the Masons will be serving hot dogs, the Lions will be serving refreshing lemonade, and there will be delicious watermelon, live music, moon bounces, a dunk tank, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, and face painting. Come one, come all!
