Save the date! On Friday, October 10 when DCPS schools are on break, join SBOE Rep LaJoy Johnson Law, CARE DC, Washington Teachers’ Union, Empower Ed, and Free DC to visit lawmakers on Capitol Hill and tell them that they need to side with DC to block 16 bills and 17 budget riders that seek to take power away from DC, and instead support six bills that would expand DC’s local power.
