Caring for ourselves and our community is often rooted in the same place. Join us for a morning meditation supporting Free DC.
Our monthly Sunday morning Sound Bath Series brings people together for meditation, rest, and community at Third Space @ Atlas. This month, we're partnering with Free DC to explore the connection between personal well-being and community well-being. Through meditation, sound, and stillness, we'll spend an hour reconnecting—with ourselves, with one another, and with the city we call home.
Using singing bowls and guided meditation, these sessions are designed to quiet the mind, release tension, and create space for rest, reflection, and connection.
Whether you're brand new to meditation or have an established practice, this is a welcoming, accessible space to slow down and simply be. No meditation experience is necessary.
The gathering begins with a brief introduction and light guidance to help everyone settle into the space. Throughout the meditation, the sound bowls act as a gentle anchor for attention, with layered tones and vibrations creating an immersive sensory experience that many people find calming and grounding for the nervous system.
Jake brings 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, along with a meditation practice shaped by time spent in India and Nepal. His approach is warm, approachable, and centered on mindfulness, rest, and community care.
This event is offered free of charge. Optional donations will support Free DC, a people-powered movement working to protect Home Rule and strengthen DC communities.
After the meditation, we invite everyone to stay for tea, conversation, and connection.
Take a breath. Invest in our city. Be in community.
