“Up from the People: Protest and Change in D.C.” is an exhibition at DC’s Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. The exhibit looks at protest movements throughout DC’s history — including the mass movement in the 1960s and 1970s that eventually won DC home rule.
Join Free DC for a guided tour of the exhibit with a DC Public Library archivists. We’ll learn about movement history that is featured in the exhibit and will have an opportunity to ask questions. After the tour we’ll spend time discussing what we learned and how it might inform Free DC’s organizing.
