November is the month of thanks and community, so we're doing something a little different and turning Free DC's Ward 2 monthly meeting into a potluck and food donation drive!
Optional: Bring a dish or snack to share if you're able. Sign up here: https://www.bit.ly/ward2potluck
We'll also be accepting non-perishable food donations to support Bread for the City's holiday donation drive. (Please no frozen turkeys or clothing items for this particular event to make it easier for us to transport items, but feel free to bring them to one of their official drop off locations!)
Required: Willingness to join us, have fun, and help build the local movement it will take to protect DC home rule and win dignity for our communities. Feel free to bring your friends and neighbors!
Our meeting will follow the following agenda:
6:00-6:30: Social time, grab some food!
6:30-7:00: Team and campaign updates
7:00-7:30ish: We'll have an overview presentation from local organizers about mutual aid 101, and what it currently looks like in Ward 2.
7:30-8:00: Continue to hang out and enjoy the event!
This meeting will take place at Church of the Pilgrims. This venue is accessible via the Dupont Circle Metro station on the Red Line, as well as the buses C91 (similar to old G2), D70 (similar to old L2), D72 (similar to old 42, 43, and L2), D74 (similar to old H8, 42, and 43), D90 (similar to old N2, N4, N6), D94 (similar to old D6), and D96 (similar to old D2).
