Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and is now an official federal holiday. On Thursday June 19, walk with Free DC’s Ward 7 Team in the Ward 7 Juneteenth Parade.

Time: Parade participants meet at 10:00 AM.
Location: Parade route starts at Penn Branch Shopping Center at 3202 Pennsylvania Avenue SE.
Route: The parade will proceed along Branch Avenue SE to Randle Circle. Participating bands will stop and perform in front of the stage located on Randle Circle. The parade ends at Randle Circle in Fort Dupont Park. A family fair and festival will follow in Fort Dupont Park.
