Announcing our endorsements for DC’s next Mayor and Delegate
DC needs a mayor who will side with our communities over this regime, and we need a Delegate ready to be DC's voice in national debates that erase and dehumanize us. Over the last two months, we've heard from the candidates, our supporters, and the wider DC community about who the right people are to take on these roles. Today, we are excited to announce the results of this process.
We are proud to endorse Janeese Lewis George to be DC's next mayor and Robert White to be DC's next Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives. Please join us in supporting these outstanding leaders.
Free DC's endorsements are based on scored candidate questionnaires, an in-person candidate forum, a straw poll, and community voting. A total of 1,136 people participated in our community voting, of 6,249 eligible voters. Eligible voters were defined as DC residents and completed a Campaign Orientation as of March 14, 2026. This election was conducted online using a Ranked Choice Voting system. The full results of community voting are below.
