Straw Poll results in our 2026 DC endorsements

At the end of our March 14 Candidate Forum, we conducted a straw poll asking attendees who they would vote for on June 16 based on the day’s events and conversation. Here are the results.

Candidates for Mayor

• Janeese Lewis George: 239 votes

• Kenyan McDuffie: 162 votes

• Yaida Ford: 57 votes

• Gary Goodweather: 6 votes

Candidates for Delegate

• Robert White: 213 votes

• Deirdre Brown: 30 votes

• Kinney Zalesne: 26 votes

• Kelly Mikel Williams: 21 votes

The next and final step in our endorsement process will be community voting. Community voting will be open to all DC residents who have completed one of our Campaign Orientations. If that’s you, watch your inbox for your ballot to vote in our endorsement.
