Share the CAP report Trump is trying to bury

A new report from Center for American Progress found no evidence the National Guard deployment in DC reduced crime. It's projected to cost taxpayers $1.7 billion by the end of year.

Trump's personal lawyer threatened the researchers with a $5 billion lawsuit unless they took the report down. They refused.

Days later, Stars and Stripes — the 165-year-old independent newspaper for U.S. troops — cited DC police data showing that “the deployment had little to no effect on violent crimes,” alongside Niskanen Center research concluding that the National Guard is “an expensive tool deployed in the wrong places for the wrong types of crime.”

The Pentagon then fired the paper's top editors — journalists who had refused to let the Pentagon censor the news soldiers receive.

This follows the Trump regime’s pattern of trying to censor critics. The Pentagon fired the Stars and Stripes Ombudsman earlier this year when the Pentagon tried to silence her reporting. Government censorship is un-American and a danger to all of us.
