They Fight, We Feed

Our future is not a cage match. The Trump regime wants us to fight one another because that’s how they win. They want us to feel afraid of immigrant neighbors, Black and Brown people, young people, unhoused neighbors, Palestinian people, federal workers, and more — because if we’re afraid and fighting each other, we’ll be too distracted to focus on the crime they are carrying out at a massive scale.

We can interrupt this by choosing one another instead of fear. On the night of Trump’s cage match, we’re going to do just that. Join Free DC, DC Local to Global, Ward 2 Mutual Aid, and allies on Sunday, June 14 at McPherson Square to donate food and take part in a creative community meal. Bring non-perishable items to donate to Ward 2 Mutual Aid and Capital Area Food Bank (see a list of most-needed items) and come ready for a simple picnic-style dinner. Together we’ll make it clear that our power to show up for one another is stronger than their efforts to keep us divided and afraid.
