DC residents want federal forces out IMMEDIATELY. We Are All DC: A National March
DC communities are joyful, powerful — and we're under attack.
Armed National Guard soldiers are carrying guns through our neighborhoods. ICE and FBI agents are profiling, harassing, and violently arresting our neighbors. MPD is going after children just for being outside, and every hour that goes by is an hour when people here are in danger.
On Saturday, September 6, we are calling on everyone in the DC region and allies from across the country to join us for "We Are All DC," a national march in solidarity with DC communities to end the occupation of DC.
Sign up now to let us know you’ll be there:
Visit Congress with us
In the days immediately before and after the march, we will visit Congress to make it clear we want an end to DC’s occupation. Sign up to visit Congress with us:

Solidarity Season: Labor Day 2025 Rally + March
Workers make DC run and we deserve better than mass firings, union busting, deportations, and occupation.
Workers across the DC region need to be in solidarity with one another now more than ever before. On Thursday, August 28, join us to kick off Labor Day 2025 and solidarity season with a rally and march. We’ll come together to make it clear:
Workers make DC run
We support federal workers
Union busting is disgusting
Workers over billionaires

Where We Stand
During significant change and uncertainty for our city, many of us are asking the same question: What can we do?
In response the recent federalization of the MPD and the ongoing, urgent needs of our unhoused neighbors, Capitol Hill UMC is proud to partner with Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid to host "Where We Stand." This is not just a meeting; it’s vital community gathering to move from concern to collective commitment. We are coming together to process what is happening, understand our role, and find tangible ways to build a safer, more compassionate Washington, D.C. for everyone.
We’ll create a space for both clarity and opportunity. The evening will include:
An Expert Panel Discussion: Hear directly from a panel of frontline leaders from local mutual aid, advocacy leaders, and direct service providers. They will offer context on the current situation and insight into the most effective ways to help.
A Community Q&A: This is a space for your voice. A dedicated time for open dialogue will allow you to ask questions, share concerns, and contribute to the conversation as we chart a path forward together.
A Pledge to Action: This is where we move from talk to tangible commitment. You will have the opportunity to connect directly with our partner organizations at information tables, learn about different roles, and find the right fit for you to get involved in a meaningful way.

Young & United: A DC Youth Assembly
Calling all young people! Join young people from all over the District to come up with a youth response to Trump’s attack on our home and create a list of demands for how you want to see our local city leaders supporting young people.
The Trump Administration is attempting to take over DC streets with law enforcement and the national guard. It is our time to show up with a clear message that DC is our home and that we keep us safe.
Join this event on August 23, co-hosted by United Leaders for Freedom, Black Swan Academy, DC Girls Coalition, DC Action, Critical Exposure, Anti-Racist DC, and Free DC.

Kids Belong in Classrooms
DC public schools go back to school on Monday. This season should be a time of joy, celebration, and silly first-day photos.
But the presence of armed National Guard members all over DC, as well as federal agents who have been violently arresting community members for weeks, many DC families are feeling scared, stressed, and anxious.
Parents, caregivers, and PTAs across DC are invited to join the American Federation of Teachers for an emergency conversation ahead of the first day of school.
