Delete DoorDash
Doordash is attacking DC communities, and last night we brought that message directly to people who use the app.
Last night, as part of 11 Days of Action to mark one year of occupation, we spoke to people on their way to Nationals Park encouraging them to delete the app.
DoorDash has come out in support of H.R. 9720, a bill that would paralyze DC’s ability to regulate revenue — all because the company wants to get out of paying a 20-cent fee that funds food access programs for low-income families.
The move comes after DoorDash has watched in silence as ICE and federal immigration enforcement tackles their drivers in the streets and kidnaps them. In Maine, Joan Sebastián Durán Guerrero was working as a DoorDash delivery driver when he was murdered by ICE. Here in DC. Nolbero Sanabría Meza was struck and killed by a U.S. Park Police chase while driving for DoorDash.
